But in general, whether you are someone like Jason Dunn who wants to be able to search his collection with all kinds of parameters or you are like one of our readers Bob12 who has over 900 DVDs, this seems like a very nice solution.

Huh...Are the DMT readers that have these MCE machines completely replacing all the "other" stereo/cable/vcr/CD player/DVD boxes that normally surround ones entertainment kingdom with a single box? Is that the appeal here? Are the hardware components of similar quality to the higher end components that would be replaced by these boxes? It's an attractive idea, but it never seems like you win in the quality arena when you converge devices. Curious to know what the feedback is here.
