Pricing is set at €378 (approx. $460) and is expected to ship October 15. We are not certain what exactly the US price will be. Christian had a chance to demo the SoundDock and said, "It looks like a fine, well designed and powerful living room item. The sound is amazing, although there is no subwoofer, it's okay with the bass. But it's pricey. It works with 3G/4G iPods and mini iPods.</i>"<br /><br /> <img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/sounddock.jpg" /> <br /><br />Boy at almost $300, this isn't cheap, but it sure sounds great. I'm looking forward to finding more about his. :)<br /><br />We learned about the <a href="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6332">SoundDock</a> yesterday.

Now if only all music players had a standardized connector then I would have been able to plug my iRiver into it as well. :(

Now if only all music players had a standardized connector then I would have been able to plug my iRiver into it as well. But how would the control work? I think it would be too hard to do. You'd be better off just buying a Wave Radio (http://www.bose.com/controller;jsessionid=B12pJstGseG1YGuaCbyO4SnVM18V3ksSBacmzIvzlB1xn1pUiReB!-423809618!195349950?event=VIEW_PRODUCT_PAGE_EVENT&product=wr_wave_index&pageName=/home_entertainment/music_systems/wave/index.jsp) (using the AUX) which costs less. The more options and accessories that the iPod gets, the less incentive people have to look at other players.

No doubt it would be hard. Case in point: often PocketPC devices from the same manufacturer don't have the same connector/cradle. But I just figured it might be something worth wishing for. ;-)
