Many ages ago I posted a fun thread in the Pocket PC Thoughts Forum where readers could post pictures of their computer workspace. So I thought it might be interesting to resurrect this idea here.
If you have a flair for cubicle decor, or just want to show off your computer gear and home office setup...post your pics here in the forum, we want to see it. :)

Here is my home office. Don't let the calm environment fool you, it is ordered chaos at best.

In case anyone is wondering how to post a photo, you need to first upload it a server. Most ISPs offer a certain amount of server space for subscribers, so just find out your ISP's FTP settings and upload your image. Then link the image in your post here in the forum using the [img] tags.

Or sites subscribers can use their media folder :D

They're very similar and I couldn't decide which to post so you get to see both!

I always love these threads! I took two quick snaps and since I'm too lazy to resize them, the full resolution images are below. I confess to cleaning up a little before taking the picture - I had a few dishes from lunching sitting there that I didn't want in the picture.

OT, but I often have this problem when going over photos I've taken - I'll often have a couple of similar pictures, so here's the rule I use in terms of decicing which one I use....it's the one I don't delete. ;-) (life lesson: delete one and live with it, keeping both is a waste)

No arguments there! 8O You have nothing else though? No printer/scanner/fax/external HD/burner/DVD player....? Just a laptop and a bed - that's hardcore!

Jason,
Love the anti-inspirational message pics.
Is that an ipac mockup nailed to the wall by the PPC debut newspaper?
I see your already playing with the creative PMP.
What is the device just to the left of the phone?

Yes, they help keep me de-motivated all day. :-)

1) It's actually the real shell of a broken iPAQ that was gutted - it was my name tag for Mobius 2003. Microsoft did all the name tags for the even that way - pretty cool eh? :)
2) Yes, I've been playing with it all day.
3) The control pod for the Logitech Z680 speakers I have.

Here's my small space and everytime I add something else it gets smaller and smaller. Soon I won't be able to fit inside the room but it does help in creating a "Dead" sounding room :D

Not that much has changed (printer, monitor, keyboard, couple of mobile stuff). The best thing was the flatpanel coming in. I can see the color of my desk now the 17" CRT has gone.

is that a digital picture frame to the left of your left speaker and left monitor? if so, what's all those wires connecting into it for?

What do you use that old Compaq for? Or is it actually blazingly fast?

Actually, it's my day-to-day PC. It's a 1GHz with 512MB RAM. It does the job for what I mainly use it for: browsing, email, Office, basic scripting, etc. I've never found it slow.
The second Compaq is my Media PC. It's a 2GHz with 768MB RAM.
The first laptop is my work PC. I have a desktop at my office which is my main development machine. The second laptop (on top of the pile) is mostly used for wireless browsing around the house.
