With the release of that new gmini thing from archos, i think it is reasonable to say that there should be absolutly no reason for someone to look at an ipod unless they have a mac (we can all agree that itunes for PC is awful at best)

I love my iPods. The new Archos looks interesting, but it's still not an iPod.

Well, depends... :wink:
At work, I spend all day on a WinXP Pro box.
At home I use an iBook primarily but also have a G4 Cube that I do some stuff on as well. Wife has a Powerbook.
I love the Apple platform, but I'm not a fanatic. I just need/want something that'll do the job. I like the hassle-free nature of the Mac, but admittedly I don't have much trouble with the WinPC box. Some, yes, but not much. I keep it well-maintained, while others in my office are quite the opposite! :oops:

in that case the ipod makes more sense
This time next year ill be re-gearing for college and the thought of platform choosing is picking at my brain day in and day out
