As the first models of this new series, PENTAX will market two compact, lightweight macro lenses for close-up photography up to a life-size magnification."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/pentax_macrolenses-001.jpg" /><br /><br />Pentax has announced these interchangeable lenses which are optimised for use on digital SLRs. The two lenses announced are the smc PENTAX-D FA Macro 100mm F2.8 and the smc PENTAX-D FA Macro 50mm F2.8. Both are compact and lightweight and each comes complete with a metal lens hood. The macro lenses offer a maximum magnification of 1:1 (lifesize) and feature a Quick-Shift focus system when mounted on a Pentax *ist D. Pricing and availability has not been announced yet.
