In response to customer complaints on iRiver's own community forums and perhaps moved even more by the press this movement received, iRiver has released an upgrade schedule for their H Series hard drive based portable audio players. According to the release from iRiver, two firmware upgrades are currently scheduled for H100s: one is "expected end of July ~ early August" with a second "expected in October" along with an upgrade for H300s."

This seems like pseudo-old news because I know I have seen that schedule before. But still it is good to know that iRiver is concentrating on those updates. Now if only they would also start marketing their products well because I think they have so much potential.
