A new upstart named X-mediazone has put together a multi-tuner media serving monster based on the SageTV media platform with a starting price of $1,499."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/xmediazone_sage103.jpg" /><br /><br />With this Media Server, much like others, you will be able to access your music, photos, video memories, movies, and TV with family and friends on your TV set. You will also be able to schedule recordings and watch TV shows. The Sage103 comes fully installed and ready to be connected to your home theater receiver, and it fits nicely with your other A/V components. However, it is the specs on the Media Server that are truly what explain the high cost. It comes with an Intel P4 2.4Ghz (up to 3.2 GHz) and up to 2GB RAM. It also comes with an nVidia GeForce FX5200 (128MB DDR) with up to 4 tuners, a DVD+/-RW and a 120GB (upgradeable to 250GB) 7200RPM hard drive with an optional second drive. Sweet!

Nice, it appears that their site is having issues. I wonder if we'll start seeing more offerings like this from other people as well. I hope windows media center will support multiple tuners soon cause it looks like that will be a big part of having a central media center.

Although the PC capabilities do look nice on a TV.

I've been running the latest beta of Beyond Tv for a few months now and having multiple tuners is great. Once a few bugs get worked out and some other things happen on the client end, I plan on adding a couple more cards to the setup. Then I will take all my direct tv boxes with the exception of the Dolby Digital box on my home theater setup and hook them to the snapstream rig. Now I can deploy the clients so everyone can still watch what they want to or watch something that's already been recorded all from one server.
