Well, old news already. 80x CF cards are here.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/cf1gdx.jpg" /><br /><br /><i>"Green House Corporation will begin releasing the "GH-CF DX" series of CF cards supporting an 80x (12MB/sec) transfer speed, in the back part of July. They are Open Price. The 512MB model can read up to 12MB/sec, in measurements by Green House, and coming from the 150KB/sec standard, this means the cards are the world's fastest, at 80x. In the lineup are 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 6GB cards. The size of the 6GB is CF Type2, while the others are CF Type1. Respective prices of the units are 9,980 yen, 19,800 yen, 39,800 yen, 79,800 yen, 159,800 yen, and 598,000 yen."</i>

Transcend had "45x" cards since last year, and Lexar pushed out "80x" cards a few months back.
