The time zone difference means that many Olympics events will be broadcast in the middle of the night here, and so recording them is a must for many Japanese--but there's a problem for HDTV viewers."</i><br /><br />The article goes on to state that a network in Japan will be broadcasting 250 hours worth of Olympic games coverage in HDTV, but that only Blue-Ray recorders can record in HDTV and have the capacity to store a significant amount of video - although 4.5 hours on a disc that costs $68 USD doesn't seem extremely compelling to me. Then again, I haven't watched more than a few Olympic events each time they happen. ;-)
