If I were in the market for a portabe video player, I’d consider this as an option. It has a big (compared to all the other media players) 7” widescreen display, plays DVD-Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, MP3 CD, and JPEG image CDs, comes with a lithium-ion battery that provides up to 3 hours of DVD playback"

This compact unit has built-in speakers and has dimensions of 7.9" x 1" x 6". As far as I can tell, it is available now for just under $350, which is a pretty good price for a unit like this. If you are in the market for a Personal DVD player (perfect for long journeys or to entertain your kids) this may be for you. Personally, even though the size is nice, the look of the unit just doesn't do it for me. More importantly, the (rechargeable) Li-ion battery gives at most 3 hours of viewing time which is a bit low IMHO (after all, I won't even be able to watch The Lord of the Rings on it in a single sitting).
