Something to waste our hard earned money on - Sunglasses that double as an MP3 player. Yes folks, you too can own the very latest in audio-powered eyeware. Apparently Oakley will be shipping this product sometime in December in 128MB and 256MB configurations. They support MP3 and WMA audio formats, but not AAC...sorry Apple.

That's a neat idea I think. I'm concerned about durability though. I sometimes take off my sunglasses and slide them across the table. I wonder how long it would take for that earpiece to come off. Then there is the price issue. Seeing how the brand is Oakley, I'm guessing the designer-nature of this brand will dictate a high price. I'll put my guess in at $325.

Hmm, Lance looks good in them, but I'm sure I wouldn't.

I think it's a pretty good idea. The style displayed isn't really for me, but hopefuly they will offer this on other models. The best solution would be bluetooth enabled sunglasses with ear buds that you can connect a Pocket PC device to. :D

and it can do your laundry as well

This is a cool idea except for:

A) it is oakley (i will elabrate if asked)
B) it wont last
C) how many MP3 players do you need?? I wont be wearing those when I work out in my enclosed gym... and you would look down right ridiculous if you wear those as sunglasses

I'm still waiting for some company to design MP3 boxers. Should prove to be quite entertaining while sitting on the can.

Gary, what's wrong with Oakley? I really like their sunglasses.

Personally, I wouldn't take Maui Jims over Oakley’s any day of the week. I know that Oakley has always made a quality product that is durable and lightweight. Here is a company that took the energy to create a revolutionary product that, from the looks of it incorporates sunglasses and a built in MP3 player. It would be great to have a MP3 player that sits on top your head. I personally don’t like running with my Rio because the wires get annoying, and the player always shifts around.
