God, there's some crazy promotion for them here over today too. Less than US$100 for the 12x and 16x DVD+R burners. This reminds me of the crazy times in CD writer land when the price drops and speed of the burners accelerated like crazy after they hit 16x speeds. Now I'm tempted to get one, but another part of me is saying to hold on to it.

So, how much are DVD writers in your area now?

I'm seeing 4x DVD burners for around $75 CND here, which is about $60 USD. The next three months will see big changes in this market - we're slow to react to what happens in other parts of the world because there's only 30 million of us. :lol:
