Since I don't have a full Firewire port on my Fujitsu, I was curious if there was a USB charging solution. If not, do the Firewire PCMCIA cards with 6-pins charge? I know some USB add-on cards will not power devices.

You'll need to buy a power adapter. They can only be changed via firewire.
Even though you can connect the iPod using USB 2.0, Apple requires the power adapter.
There are tons of Firewire PC Cards. A quick google search turned these up...
