On Monday, MTI MicroFuel Cells unveiled prototypes of its Mobion power packs, which promise to last longer in portable devices than conventional batteries and to be easier to manufacture than rival fuel cells."</i><br /><br />Fuel Cells seem to be the future of battery power, but they've been a long time coming and the advantages are getting less and less clear over time. This is an improvement over previous strategies - MTI uses 100% fuel in the reservoir, whereas other technologies have water in mix. More fuel equals more battery life. But until I see a final production unit, and see some hard numbers, I'll remain dubious of how big an impact fuel cells will really have.
