...what a slick-looking player! I hope, hope, hope it's released in the US. When it is, I may have to sell my iRiver.

I didn't know anything about it until now. Here's a review I found with comparisons to the iPod (I know, I know...):

I guess I have to respond by saying - Finally. After all Toshiba itself makes the drives that go into most of these HDD based MP3 players. It is about time that they started undercutting everyone else in terms of costs. Though I don't know whether I am ready to part with my iRiver yet.

Dynamism has it for 600 bucks. I wonder just how much the price would actually come down. Probably not that much...

I don't think you have to qualify your statement about comparing it to the iPod; it makes perfect sense! You are simply stating what everyone thinks anyway, the iPod is the defacto standard that all other players are compared to. Everyone doesn't have to like that frame of mind, but its a waste of time to fight it...for now. :robot:
