Importing video from S400 on a Mac

Anyone have any idea how I can get video off my S400 onto my Mac? I can't even figure out how to address the camera through Finder or Terminal. Ideas? Applications? iMovie and iPhoto don't work for it.

You should install the Canon software that came with your camera. That should do the trick.

Per Canon, it won't. Any other ideas?

Ok, how about using a card reader? I know it's another cost, but it's the easiest way to me.

Is there no way to mount the camera to read the card through the camera? It baffles me as to why this is as difficult as it seems to be for me. I have to be missing something.

Well, if the camera isn't a Mass Storage device.. then I guess you're outta luck if the Canon software doesn't work.

Try calling Canon Customer Service, they may have a quick solution for you. I have called them twice before and I lucked out both times by getting someone very knowledgeable.
