<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.tvtonic.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.tvtonic.com/</a><br /><br /></div>"With TVTonic you can enjoy four full-screen, DVD-quality video channels for FREE. <a href="http://www.tvtonic.com/download/index.asp">Download TVTonic</a> and check it out. You'll get <a href="http://www.tvtonic.com/content/index.asp#rawdio">Rawdio</a>, TVTonic's nonstop video music channel showcasing the newest videos; exclusive artist interviews; and hot, new upcoming acts. Also, receive <a href="http://www.tvtonic.com/content/index.asp#theNews">The News</a> which brings you the latest clips direct from the Associated Press and keeps you informed on current events. Movie trailers, star interviews and reviews are available in TVTonic's free <a href="http://www.tvtonic.com/content/index.asp#theScreeningRoom">MoviePick</a> channel. Plus, watch classic cartoons like Popeye, Gumby and Betty Boop in <a href="http://tvtonic.com/content/index.asp#cartoonCow">Cartoon Cow</a>."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/tvtonic.jpg" /><br /><br />TVTonic integrates either inside Internet Explorer or with Windows Media Center Edition (<a href="http://www.tvtonic.com/mce/">BETA</a>). TVTonic also allows you to use your PC as either a DVR (you can stream live TV with a tuner card) or push saved video to other networked PCs. It appears that you can record on your office computer, but then watch in in your bedroom or even in the backyard on your laptop. <a href="http://tvtonic.com/content/index.asp#partner">Partner Channels</a> are available for a monthly fee, though I don't see any of them being compelling. All in all, a very interesting way to get video on your PCs.

Did you try it, did you have any luck. I just installed it but it made my browser very slow, so I had to uninstall it. Just checking whether it is just my computer.

No I could never get it to work. I'm even having trouble un-installing it. :?

I tried it, but it took hours (as described) to download content other than movie trailers, It installs itself in your "Startup" folder, so you have to disable it before uninstalling it (Device manager process name is "WXCC.exe").
The "Cartoon Cow" channel is free for a month, but I'm loathe to give a unheard-of new service my credit card number for my 30 day "free" sample.
It's very fickle with video cards, so make sure you read the "approved" list before installing it.
That said, once working, it is very fast to present material, but I don't know if I want something like this stealing my bandwidth all the time...It would be nice if (within it's setup) you could schedule it to run/download content instead of it running all the time (and after monitoring it over the weekend, it does indeed communicate with the media server quite a bit).
If you have a TV tuner card, and want to centralize your viewing via browser window, you may want to give this a spin, other than that, there isn't much "new" content in the service that you can't get elsewhere.

For those of you out there that tried this program when it first came out and didn't like it, i urge you to give it another shot. They just got done carrying the OLYMPICS for NBC and it was an all in all success.
There is brand new version that allows you to control how much of your bandwith that you want to be used up.
Everyday you can get the full NBC Nightly news and the Today show. plus any podcast that you desire.
TVtonic also came out with a 64bit version for those computers.
I havent had any problems with this service at all, and would recomend it to anybody
