I've been a reader of Pocket PC Thoughts ever since I got smart and bought a Pocket PC. You may know me as "cageyjames" on PPCT and Aximsite where I have been Co-Administrator for practically the past year. While I do enjoy PDAs, my true "love" is audio and video gadgets. I was lucky to have a Dad who was an "early adopter" and at an early age learned what it was to jump in with both feet into new technology (and actually like him, I married a woman who is exactly the opposite! :? ). The first computer I remember using was a TI-994A and have touched Apple, AT&T, Atari, IBM, Dell and HP over the years (I’ve owned a IBM PCjr so don’t hold that against me  ).

I seem to mostly stay with Nikon digital cameras, Canon video cameras, Apple iPod, Canon printers and Adobe with software. I’ve totally left film cameras and I’m loving it. I have both Windows PCs and Macintosh computers in my house, mostly due to the fact that one is usually better at a task than the other, but I do find myself using my Mac less and less as time goes on (especially since Windows XP arrived), though you’ll see my love of MacOS is still strong. I'm never usually on the fence so you'll quickly see that there isn't much I don't have a strong opinion about. :D

I grew up in Laguna Niguel, CA and loved living on the Pacific Ocean, but I ended up going to College at Arizona State University (mostly due to the fact that there was a great golf course on campus). Since that time I’ve lived some time in the Bay Area, but quickly moved back to Phoenix (after rejecting an offer to work for Excite back in 1997 – I didn’t think they would amount to anything  ). Since them I’ve been creating GIS applications for mostly the Navy/Marine Corps to help them better spatially understand their surroundings and help them more efficiently work. My favorite sports team is the San Francisco Giants, so you can assume I’m watching the game somewhere when it’s on.

I’m looking forward to being part of a great site!
