Microsoft set out an ambitious vision for Longhorn last October at its Professional Developers Conference. Oh no no no, if cutting fancy gee-whiz tools from Longhorn means a more usable, stable and secure OS, I'm all for it! I can do without doo-hickeys which I never use anyway.

This is actually quite sad. Given that the OS has already been delayed so much, removing features is certainly going to be bad IMHO. I was reading another article (can't find the link now) that said that all the features they are going to cut will be released in their next OS after Longhorn which is slated for sometime around 2009/10.
