The electronics maker said at the CeBit trade show in Hannover, Germany, that the card will cost about $500."<br /><br />As much as I love Panasonic, that $500 price tag is a bit much 8O. Sandisk announced their 1GB SD card a few months ago and it is already retailing for less than $350. I am surprised that Panasonic would sell it for this much. On a brighter side, Panasonic did say that it had plans to continue to boost the storage capacity and to increase the rate of writing data to the cards.
