<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://yourtech.typepad.com/main/2004/03/the_mac_still_w.html' target='_blank'>http://yourtech.typepad.com/main/2004/03/the_mac_still_w.html</a><br /><br /></div>A rather interesting piece in the Pioneer Press's Personal technology weblog (I didn't even know they had one 8O ) regarding using Macs as Digital Video recorders, mentions a small startup company, El Gato Systems, who's product aims to turn Macs into <b>Media Center PC</b> clones. <br /><br />"El Gato Systems is trying to fill the gap with its EyeTV 200, an external device that offers TV-recording functions, and its EyeHome, which provides access to a Mac's multimedia content (EyeTV recordings along with other digital video, plus pictures and music) via a TV and home-entertainment system."<br /><br />Sounds interesting, but I can't imagine how useful this would be, or reliable. :? If any of you out there plan to acquire this product, please share your experiences. <br /> <img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/e200.jpg" />

this is great!

for all those people who have a Mac with the superdrive you can make DVDs of your favorite shows just like that (snaps fingers)

Not great for those of us that don't have a Mac with Superdrive. :wink:
