It boasts the following features:

• SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH C-VARIOGON 2.8X Optical Zoom Lens
• 5.0 MP for stunning prints up to 20"x30" (50x75 cm)
• Dazzling, sleek and compact, but loaded with creative settings
• 1.8" high-resolution indoor/outdoor display
• Sharing is one-touch simple
• KODAK Color Science Chip

All in all, not bad, and I like the look of it - I wonder if they're using the Sony 5 megapixel CCD, or their own? I believe Kodak has a history of using their own sensors, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe Kodak is using their own chip i.e. the Color Science Chip.

I am using the DX6490 which uses the same chip (I believe) and also a Schneider-Kreuznach lens (but 10x optical zoom). I have not done anything rigorous with it but have been impressed with it so far.
