In addition to increased capacities, the new model offers improved internal data transfer rates and support for two interfaces, Ultra320 SCSI and Fibre Channel 2. It's expected to roll out in April."<br /><br />Available in the 73GB, 147GB and 300GB models, their MAT series of hard drives will be offered in 10K rpm models to offer a transfer rate of 132 MBps. :shocked!:

Drool....300 GB hard drive....nice! I could put all my media on that one drive...then I'd need a second one to back it up.

More than anything else, the speed on a drive that speed amazes me. One problem though, there is no Serial ATA support, so this would be more of a server hard drive because I sincerely doubt that consumers have Ultra320 SCSI or Fibre Channels... well, ok, maybe some do, but not us mortals ;-)

True, but I'm sure we'll see this trickle down to the mortal realm. ;-)
