I got a buddy going down to San-Fran next week and he's looking to pick up a digital camera while he's there. Can anyone recommend a good shop with reasonable prices? He's looking at the Canon s400, or the s50.

Why doesn't he order it online? Just ship it overnight, or 2 day. That will still probably work out cheaper than getting it from a store IMO.

We're in Canada. When it hits the border it will get nailed with Duty and taxes, and surcharges, etc.... :P No fun. Plus he leaves on Sunday! Not much time left.

PS --> I just noticed that I don't have the location info filled out on this account. I will add that info now. :D

Have him order one online and have it shipped to his hotel. No taxes, no duty, and it'll be there waiting for him when he gets there.

That's a great idea. I will pass this idea along to him. Will stores ship to hotels?
