I've been wanting to set my windows PC up to do PVR for a awhile now and have been trying to do some research into PCI cards that do this sort of thing.

Unfortunately there's a dizzying array of options and I haven't found one good source that compares the pros/cons and features of each.

The Hauppauge PVR-350 looks promising but doesn't seem to support HDTV. Of the HDTV cards out there, information is limited as to how well they work and how good their associated PVR software is.

What I'm looking for is a TV Tuner/Video Capture card that does:
Analog, digitial and HDTV reception (in the US market)
Has PVR functionality including time shifting, recording, and scheduling.
Has decent PVR software (the bigest complaints I've read in the reviews that do exist is that the software is often poorly designed/buggy).
Anybody got good recommendations? Is HDTV reception worth holding out for or can I just go with the Hauppauge 350 and call it good?

Thanks,
