Can you believe this? This is crazy. A few bruts from the music industry are showing (again) just how serious they are about putting a stop to illegal downloading/file swapping. (Call it what you will).

I call them bruts, but I would do the same.

I've gotta disagree. P2P is a wonderful technology, but Kazaa itself isn't. Our organization's Internet connections are always saturated thanks to the music sharers.

I can see some of what the industry is upset about...but forgive me if I don't cry for the millionaires. I am trying to Dload much less than I used to ...I only grab stuff I need to learn.

I can clearly see that P2P is going to be one hot contentious subject. Since there is an existing thread on this subject here (http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4532&highlight=), I recommend ending the flame wars here. ;-)

If the P2p discussion gets a lot of attention, I see no reason why would end the talk. But, I agree that it needs to be kept at a level of decency.
