eWallet supported FlexWallet in (at least) version 5. Of bigger note, though, FlexWallet has been acquired by Ilium.

I received the following a few days ago:

FlexWallet Upgrade to eWallet 6.0 Today WebIS is proud to announce a new partnership with Ilium Software to bring a renewed focus to the Wallet Market. this year we spent some time with Ilium and found a very strong renewed focus on eWallet going forward and with our focus on FlexMail and Pocket Informant and our work on the Blackberry we have decided to team up with Ilium and turn FlexWallet 4 into eWallet 6.0! This provides many great improvements that I'm sure you are going to love and we've made it easy for you to upgrade from FlexWallet to eWallet 6.0. eWallet 6.0 combines the best of FlexWallet and eWallet with a renewed focus that brings greater security and features to all of our users!
eWallet 6.0 brings the following major improvements:

iPhone/Web version currently in beta.
Sync your info where you want - to any PC, Windows Mobile or Palm OS device, USB thumb drive, a laptop, even your server at work - there is no limit
Stronger security - AES FIPS and 256-bit encryption
Encrypted file attachments
Sync securely to remote locations using SFTP and other remote syncing options
Access your data from remote computers using Iomega iStorage
Prevent intrusion by locking your wallet after a certain number of failed login attempts
Make online purchases safely! With eWallet's SmartCopy your credit cards and personal info won't be left in the clipboard for keyloggers to find
Fill in passwords online without typing using AutoPass - protect yourself from keyboard logging in an easy and secure way
Personalize your cards with background images
Customize the card design with options for displaying icons on the card, square or round corners, card borders, and more!
Use eWallet on your U3 USB Smartdrives
Get Step-by-Step Instructions for basic tasks with the eWallet Companion
Four free icon packs (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ew_icons.php) [FlexWallet to eWallet FAQ (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ew_fwfaq.php)] [FlexWallet Icon info (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ew_fwpix.php)] How much is the upgrade?
This upgrade will work the same way most WebIS upgrades work. If you've purchased FlexWallet in the last 90 days, you get to pick either the Pocket PC or Smartphone version for free! Otherwise the upgrade is $16.95. Click here (http://webis.net/products_info.php?p_id=ewallet&tab_id=upgrade) to get your upgrade!
How does the upgrade work?
For most people eWallet 6.0 will be a seamless upgrade. Keep FlexWallet around for a bit longer, install eWallet 6.0 and then open your FlexWallet file within eWallet. It will convert it and that's it. Keep your FlexWallet file as a backup. For users with more complex wallets, eWallet does not yet support as complex template designs as FlexWallet does. That support is coming in 2008 and WebIS will continue to update FlexWallet 2006 for the forseeable future with bug fixes as our committment to current owners. Also, eWallet 6.0 currently has a late discovered slow startup with the large amount of FlexWallet icons installed. We plan to have an update to fix this within the next couple weeks.
What about FlexWallet for BlackBerry
FlexWallet for BlackBerry will become eWallet for BlackBerry in the first quarter of 2008 and WebIS will continue to develop, market, and sell FlexWallet for BlackBerry until we've finished integrating it with the desktop eWallet. At that point FlexWallet for BlackBerry will be renamed to eWallet for BlackBerry and will continue to be aggressively developed by WebIS. So this announcement does not apply to BlackBerry users at this time and WebIS will be upgrading the BlackBerry product in the next couple weeks with some major new improvements and going forward to support all the eWallet 6 features as well.

There was some support, but there is much much more now. If I recall, it was very basic before.

As for FlexWallet being acquired, I can't find anything that says that. All the docs I read say that it's a joining of forces but no talk of actually being acquired.

My bad - I was thinking of Spb Wallet for the FlexWallet import. I researched all of this a while back, and the lines are blurring a bit.

I don't have any other information about the actual agreement between the two. The email says that FlexWallet is going away (I assume this is what is meant by "turning FlexWallet 4.0 into eWallet 6.0"), so I paraphrased. More likely, my guess is that WebIS wants out of the wallet market, so they are selling their customers to Ilium. Pure speculation, though.
