Check out our hands-on video of Windows Mobile 6.1, where we take you through all the new features we've found so far. ... P.S. For anyone thinking on holding off on an AT&T Q9 because of the Wi-Fi version coming, remember that this device is running a non-AT&T OS, and although it is AT&T-branded hardware, it doesn't mean AT&T has actually picked it up, nor do we have any launch indication or supposed release timeframe."

BGR has published a video walkthrough of the Windows Mobile 6.1 goodies. The feature that looks most promising is the wire frame based Web page navigation, the ability to zoom in and out of the Web page. This is a feature that most of the competing smart phones and browsers have. One of the best browser experience I have had on a non-touch screen phone is on the Nokia N95, using the Opera browser. It rendered the Web pages just like the desktop browser and allowed the user to navigate using the wire frame box. This experience is available on Windows Mobile for those who are willing to shell out the extra bucks on the Opera browser, but now looks like Microsoft is finally trying to catch up. It remains to be seen how well the Internet Explorer in Windows Mobile 6.1 can render the Web pages, whether or not it can preserve the desktop layout.
