New Zune software + media center PCs = ?

Why, oh why, did Microsoft limit the copying of recorded TV shows to Vista PCs? My primary system runs XP, though I do have a Vista-based media center on my network. Problem is, when I add the folder containing recorded TV shows to the Zune software (on my XP machine), the shows themselves don't show up.

Anyone have similar/different experiences? Or know a workaround?

You could setup DVRMSToolbox to automatically convert the shows to the Zune WMV format. Then you can not only add a new show to your Zune, but the transfer process will be much quicker (smaller file size, converted, etc.).
