While these devices are great for people that live and die by email messages, their width and form factor don't sit well with people that want something slightly more normal. That's where cleverly designed devices like Pantech's new C810 Duo for AT&T come in. The Duo offers a bit of both, a conventional alphanumeric keypad equipped slider that is good for general making and taking of calls, as well as a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for those times when a bit of messaging is required. The design certainly looks interesting, but the question is whether or not the Duo can mange this split personality in a way that people will accept."

Michael Oryl of MobileBurn has given the Pantech Duo the "Recommended" rating. Check out the review and find out how the latest AT&T offering managed to earn this rating. An interesting tidbit that I picked up from the review is that Pantech designed the Helio Ocean, which like the Duo is a dual slider. Wish this device was slimmer. Let's hope that Pantech is working on a second-gen Duo which will fulfill the wish.
