i am getting the error with the new software:

reserved space and contents from other computer (if any)

i have changed the reserve to share file size to 0% and still get an error. Perhaps i am one of the few with well over 4k songs and 25.72MB of data, yet it shows i have 4.09GB free space... but for some reason it says:

reserved space and contents from other computer (if any) 5.78GB

What other computer? i only use this one. WTF????? i have the Reserved Space set to 0%...

On another note, i am seeing repeat files/songs where one is correct and the other has zero data file size.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

PS: also, can not sort files by Size using the new software. It has a tab for it, but does not work.

You have some other problem...

I currently have 5,140 tracks on my zune30 (27.36 GB used/0.43 GB free)...

I will have to edit aggressively to make room for video/podcasts, it appears...but it all worked fine.

I had actually downloaded several additional albums overnight, and had to do some "interactive" pruning to get all the new files on...but it worked fine.

As I deleted content from the device, the skipped files would be automatically refreshed and loaded.

Nope, MS software glitch! Got it working now.

From another Zune board. This seems to fix ALL problems with album art, HD free space problems, bad listing oif songs, etc.
Close Zune.exe (close the program and make sure, using CTL ATL DEL... three finger MS salute) that it is not running. Other Zuner services can run)

Open (for Vista) C:user{your_username}AppDataLocalMicrosoftZune or the equivelent Documents & Settings location XP
Find the CurrentDatabase_365.wmdb (that is the 1.0 data store) rename it to CurrentDatabase_365Old.wmdb
Find the ZuneStore.sdf (that is the 2.0 data store) rename it to ZuneStoreOld.sdf
Restart Zune.exe, it will find all the media in your monitored folders and add it to your collection based on the metadata in the files.
You should only need to do this once.

What i did was search for the files CurrentDatabase_365.wmdb and ZuneStore.sdf and renamed them as above. Then i launched the Zune software and it reindexed my songs. Everything fixed.
