Anyone figure out how if the DVR-MS functionallity is in the Zune 30 updated firmware. I'll be really dissappointed if this is not in there!

Okay, So I've done some investigating and it looks like my shows may not be showing up because they are OTA HD recordings. That sucks because that's how I record all of my shows. Why would I want crappy OTA SD recordings on my Zune when I have a nice high resolution source.

Just curious, but what is your source for concluding the Zune will not transcode HD DVR-MS files? This would be a big concern for me. Although I usually use jelwood's mencoder + DVRMSToolbox to strip out the commercials and convert the files, I would still like to be able to drop a file into the Zune desktop app and have it convert.

Yes, where did you read that? That really would be terrible. All of my Media Center recordings are done HD. I've been trying to figure out for over an hour now why my shows aren't showing up in my video collection.

This appears to still be the way to go...

Well, now I'm not so sure. I found this link that says that OTA HD should be okay:

Another guy on Zunescene said that only SD stuff word work, but I've searched pages and pages for the link but can't find it. I did find a new thread there where people are having trouble seeing the files.

I guess I'll just be patient for now.

looks like it's because of Dolby Digital.
