When I docked my Zune 30 I saw the above message: it updated the firmware to 2.2. The same deal for my Zune 8 - it was updated to firmware 2.2, though I had to reboot the Zune before the firmware update would work - it kept failing saying it couldn't connect to my Zune. Strangely enough, no such firmware update was found for the Zune 80. I doubt they'd have the firmware be out of sync on a per-device basis, so I suspect we'll see the 2.2 firmware update for the Zune 80 in short order.

For some reason I got super excited thinking that I could update my Zune. You can't keep getting me all worked up like this Jason, it's not good for the ol' ticker! ;)

It's 9:44 pm on the east coast. When is this going to be released?

I was wondering the same thing. I am hoping it is at midnight but I would not be surprised if it was at 6am tomorrow (or something similar).

Man I thought it was released too. I am guessing east coast time, it will be 4AM that it will be released.

Not to get off topic...but was it mentioned that my Zune 30 will *not* support h.264 natively?
