MSFT is working with game developers to rev “relevant,” “appropriate” XBox games to Windows Mobile phones. No specifics as to which games, time to market, pricing, etc… but does sound exciting. Readers, would availability of xBox games on Windows Mobile phones be enough to convince you to buy a WinMob phone?"

So how about it? if some XBox games came strolling over to the Window Mobile platform, do you think you'd be interested? Do you think they'd play well? Which games do you think could be playable on your smartphone and which games just couldn't? Halo in my pocket doesn't sound half bad! If nothing else it''s an interesting idea anyway.

Let's hope they bring out a Smartphone was an 8-way D-pad to get the most out of them. :)

It would be really cool to take my World Series of Poker game along with me when I leave the house. Same goes for Halo3 or GHII. In reality, I think it's meant for the simpler games. Perhaps the Xbox Arcade titles. That would be cool.

I'm pretty sure this will strictly be the Arcade titles. The inital boat will likely be ones that are already out on Windows Mobile, such as Zuma. They'll just add the "Xbox Live" hooks.

At last a decent move from MS, gaming-wise. The competition is getting better and better all the time - see the new Nokia N-Gage Platform (I'm REALLY waiting for it - hope they do release some freaking good 3D accelerated and/or multiplayer titles), slated for December, and, of course, the 3D accelerator support in the N93/ N95 / N73.

Of course, they should also force device manufacturers to release more gaming-friendly devices, of which a 8-way D-pad is one example. (Not that the Nokia N95's controls for gaming were THAT good - they pretty much suck. In this regard, the new N81 series is far better, but it's just a toy phone and certainly lacks the advanced features of the N95.)

A new Casio Cassiopeia (or, at least, an Asus 620)-alike would be great :)

That would be GREAT! One of the best features of Nokia's old N-Gage (and the forthcoming, new N-Gage Platform) is multiplayer gaming & lounge. Hope the WM devs also understand the importance of multiplayer, (also) lounge-based gaming. In this regard, MS's commitment to bringing the same to the WM platform would be just GREAT!

Just an example: currently, "Orions" can only be played over direct connections (see http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56355 ); adding a lounge facility to find opponents would be GREAT!
