It's sleeker, smarter, and even easier to use than the original. Now with Windows Mobile® 6, faster 3G download speeds, a larger 2.4" display screen, and a stylish look, it's the device all other smart devices want to be. The new, improved BlackJack™ II takes the beauty and brilliance of the successful BlackJack ™ to a whole new level. With a sleek new design, front jog wheel for easier scrolling, international roaming with tri-band HSDPA, 2.0 megapixel camera, and GPS support, this is the only mobile device you will ever need. The BlackJack™ II is available in 2 colors - black and wine red."

You have to admit, that Wine Red BlackJack looks super sharp. It's expected that the BlackJack II will be $150 with a two year contract. That's pretty affordable for a brand new Windows Mobile device. Anyone else ready and willing to get one?

It's funny...when signing up for the email, the confirmation verbiage states:

"Your email address was successfully submitted. Watch your inbox for updates about the launch of the MOTO Q™ Global."

MOTO Q? Apparently they pushed this out without doing a copy check...

I might just go for it because of the GPS.

So when they say "GPS Support", that means it has the radio but no GPS software?

And yeah, where's the WiFi love? Did we learn nothing from the Dash?

That said, the minute they offer it for $50 I'll jump on it.

No one has even mentioned the status light on the front, so you know if you miss a call or receive a message. As far as wi-fi, I believe it's not much more than a novelty on a smaller device like this. If you have an unlimited media plan, why do you really need it? If you don't have an unlimited plan, then why buy a phone like this? I am excluding the unfortunate people on Rogers of course. :)

no 1 in canada has an unlimited data plan... why buy it? cuz its a proper windows mobile handset that is slim and with GPS and WiFi, u know most people are at school or work and there is wifi everywhere...... without wifi its useless.......unless its in the states and offered with unlimited data, which doesn't exist in canada.

Yeah, quality control has never been Cingular/AT&T's strong point ;)

Don't do that! You'll break it!

Though I did run over my Blackjack before and it didn't even scratch it. Though I think it's better to play it safe ;)

I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be the one and only way to get WM 6 on a Blackjack.

I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be the one and only way to get WM 6 on a Blackjack.

I saw an article today that commented about Samsung has committed to WinMo6 on the BlackJack I. However, there was no source for the qoute. I'm looking to see how legit the comment is.

Allegedly available this Wednesday (11/21) for $150 with 2-year plan. If I can retain the $20/month Media Max 200 Bundle (US: unlimited data + 200 text msgs) I currently have with my Cingular 2125, I'm upgrading. If I can't keep the $20 data plan, I will seriously consider the iPhone or wait for a WM smartphone that has WiFi.

AT&T store says there's no more $20 unlimited data plans except for iPhone and certain non-WM phones. They can't really explain why other than Apple made a deal with AT&T for the iPhone. Could it be Edge/GPRS for $20/mo and 3G for $40/mo?
