The browser supports Mobile Ajax as well and renders websites as they would on a desktop browser. However, the cool zooming and panning capabilities of Safari on the iPhone aren't ported over it seems. For now, it looks like I might just stick with Opera 8.65, although Wake3 does look to be a promising start. Opera, Firefox, and NetFront all have plans on updating their browsers to support AJAX and some advanced scrolling/zooming/rendering capabilities for mobile devices.&quot;<br /><br /></em><img border="1" alt="" src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/500/spt/auto/1192731457.usr8.jpg" /><br /><br />While the demo video for this WebKit based browser is being shown as running on a Pocket PC, Wake3 has stated that it will be released for Windows Mobile and not just Windows Mobile Professional. From the looks of the video, it appears that Wake3's browser is miles ahead of Pocket IE... which really shouldn't be hard to accomplish. This is pretty exciting as Minimo and other mobile browsers really haven't been living up to the hype that was surrounding them (for me at least). Nowadays, I rarely use my phone to browse the Web anymore as the experience is just downright painful. Hopefully Microsoft is taking note of this and realizes that mobile Internet browsing is becoming more and more popular and is not just a neat &quot;feature&quot; to include in the operating system.

This browser has the same routes as the Nokia browser, right? I like how it operates on my E62. Looking forward to seeing how the final version works on PocketPC.

Yes, Nokia already use this in their web browser. It's certainly way more advanced than PIE and quite a few of the web apps designed for the iPhone work on my N95. It's not quite as slick as the iPhone's browser, but having HSDPA makes up for it. :)

Me too. I submitted this new to PocketPC Thhoughts site over a week ago, but I haven't seen any article on it there yet.

1. Opera Mobile already supports AJAX. See my compliance test reports.

2. Firefox, if you meant Minimo, does the same. However, it's quite much an abandoned project.
