First up, it's the Motorola's elusive Q9c -- cousin to the Q9m -- outfitted with a 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory via miniSD, 128MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM, Windows Mobile 6 Standard, and Bluetooth 2.0. Next up, it's UTStarcom's QWERTY-sliding SMT5800. The device will rock a 1xEV-DO Rev. A radio (which unfortunately looks like it will be held to Rev. 0 at launch), 2 megapixel shooter, microSD support, 128MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM, Windows Mobile 6 Standard, and Bluetooth 2.0."

Here is some good news for all of our Verizon users. Just in time for the holidays, Verizon should be releasing the Motorola Q9c and UTStarcom SMT5800 Windows Mobile Standard devices. The Motorola Q9c seems to be closer to the hardware specs of the Motorola Q9h which should be released sometime soonish (hopefully) on AT&T's network. If you haven't already purchased the Motorola Q9m Music, I would hold off until this device is released.

I am so dissapointed with Verizon in their inability to execute and release phones - I am still waiting on the 6800 release - Sprint has had it up and running for months now - same Radio - so what is the deal with Verizon not being able to get theirs running? - in fact it's the same dang Phone - UGH!

Seems like I really know how to pick the telephone winners - sigh - First T-Mo couldn't seem to release anything so I switch to Verizon mainly because of the Windows Treo, network speed and reliabilty. But now I am strongly considering jumping ship because Verizon can't seem to release a simple upgrade to an existing device that is already market proven - the 6800.

First it was September now nothing in October and no hint that Novemeber is looking much better - ugh...

That UTstarcom really looks familiar. HTC has done some good work at shopping the Vox (and it's derivatives) around. Seems like almost everyone has a version of it.

OK - so the 6800 is included in the lineup - went to the source. Stil - I'll believe this when I am holding the 6800 and the 5800 in my hands...

It will be interesting to see how or if verizon has disabled the wireless and if someone will come out with a reg hack to re-enable it if that is the case...
