All you need is a data connection (GPRS/CDMA/Wi-Fi). Download Mundu Radio now and tune in to the planet. Why stop at a few hundred songs, when you can pick from tens and thousands of radio stations, right on your wireless handset. Tune in to broadcasts from Bombay, Boston, Beijing, or Brisbane: Hindi to Indie Rock to Trance to Dance to Arabic to French to Hip-Hop to Pop - all non stop."

Another one of those "I haven't tried it yet" apps but it looks cool. Do any of you listen to internet radio? Have you tried Mundu Radio? I'll give it a spin later and report back in the forums. It appears you can listen to thousands of stations world wide. I'm sure my Dash will do fine on WiFi but I wonder how it will run using Edge? It comes with some pre-set stations but you'll have access to thousands of others as well. You can even create your own playlist. If you try it, let us know your experience. Did I mention it's free?

I've never really listened to internet radio stations. It's a great idea, but if I'm going to listen to the radio, I'm going to want to hear local news/weather. Otherwise, I'll just plug in my Zune and listen to my tunes.

Besides, I can never find an internet station when I have time to kill.

You're right though, it looks like a really cool app. I like the bright screen colours.

Mundu is cool, but the battery drain by streaming Internet audio is BRUTAL. It almost makes it worthless IMO...

Downloading now... I hope that it runs well with EV-DO. I don't like that it needs registration.

By the way, www.radio4pda.com also has quite a few streaming audio stations from US and Europe. Open it on your cell. This has local stations, so if you move away from a particular place, you can still keep listening to your favorite station. It uses WMP streaming. Yes, the battery drain is brutal.

Mundu Radio seems like the perfect solution for getting internet radio to my cell connected to my car stereo where battery life is not an issue. Still waiting for the right 3g phone to use with this. Let us know how it sounds.

Thanks.

I ran into the same problem, could never find streaming radio stations when I had time to kill. In turn, I created a site to solve the problem. Now it's out there for anyone to use.

Because I use a Windows Mobile device, it's tailored for Windows Mobile. Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm always looking to make improvements.

Something I noticed, streaming radio works much better on Smartphone vs. Professional because smartphone never actually turns itself off. When you hit the power button or lock the keys, streaming continues and the screen turns off. Professional, on the other hand, will only stream if you don't turn off or lock the device. That means the screen doesn't turn off and the battery drains fast! When you hit the power button on a Professional device it actually shuts down. That's one of the big differences between the 2 versions (besides the touchscreen).
