Version 2.0 builds on the powerful capabilities of the original: operation of your Window Mobile device from a Windows PC through a familiar ease-to-use Outlook-style user interface, SMS-ing directly from your PC through your phone including chat mode, and powerful features to manage all the important personal data on your Smartphone or Pocket PC phone such as the ability to backup and restore of all your vital data."

I used to be a fan of Jeyo's Mobile Extender until Vista came out and it would no longer work. Even the version that was supposed to work on Vista did not. I don't know about this particular program but if anyone has tried it post your thoughts here.

I tried it once and had a horrible experience.

After a little while, I kept getting some DLL error, and it ended up 'eating' all my SMS's; InBox, Sent, and all.

I then checked their support forum, and found that many others had experienced the same error and reported the problem. Repeated postings to the forums, other people trying to contact support, and increased frustration finally resulted in removing it and walking away.

I checked on their support forum a few months ago, and it was riddled with porn-spam, so it seemed clear that no-one was actively managing it.

If they've cleaned up their act and their product, I'd be willing to try it again, since I think the product had merit, but I was very disappointed by my last experience.

Oh, and I see their forums are still down for "maintenance" - same as it was a month or two ago...

Our there forums PHPBB? There's lot of security problems with that forum software. I'm guessing that they didn't keep on top of it and things got out of hand. :(
