At least as far&nbsp;as the rebate coupon&nbsp;shows. &nbsp; So, Here's the list of Windows Mobile Smartphones that are coming from AT&amp;T: <a href="http://forums.thoughtsmedia.com/showthread.php?t=23016">Pantech Duo</a>, <a href="http://forums.thoughtsmedia.com/showthread.php?t=21749">SMT 5700</a>, and the <a href="http://forums.thoughtsmedia.com/showthread.php?t=23056">Motorola Q9 Global</a>. There's also the Tilt with and without a camera, but we're only interested in the Smartphone devices.</p><p><img alt="" border="1" src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/500/spt/auto/1190036839.usr3.jpg" /></p><p>You can get the rebate coupon directly from the <a href="http://www.wireless.att.com/global/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/MIR_NAT_Device_110307.pdf">AT&amp;T website</a>&nbsp;(PDF). It looks like there's a lot of Smartphone choice coming from AT&amp;T this fall. </p>

I would guess it's the Windows Mobile 6 version of it. The update is expected any time now and there was no plans to stop the sale of the device, as far as I know. So it would make sense that the + indicates the new ROM. That's just a guess. If they have a new version with beef'ed up specs, I'm going to have a hard choice coming really soon. :D

Did anybody else notice the fine print on this form to be able to get the rebate?

**Requires activation on a PDA Personal Plan or a $39.99 or higher unlimited data rate plan plus an AT&T Voice Plan of $39.99 or higher.

This doesn't make sense for these phones. Why wouldn't they require the SmartPhone Connect plans instead? A main reason to get a SmartPhone is to get a cheaper data plan.

Daniel, AT&T counts the BJ (and Nokia E62) as PDA devices because of the keyboards.

I get conflicting information from AT&T / Cingular. In the past I've always heard that if it has a keyboard or stylus it's a PDA and requires the PDA data plan. But then they decided to offer the Motorola Q9 with the SmartPhone plan even though it has a keyboard.

When I was last in our local AT&T store they told me that Windows Mobile 6 Standard devices would use the SmartPhone plans and Windows Mobile 6 Professional devices would use the PDA plans. Based on this that doesn't appear right.

So what phones does AT&T have that they support the SmartPhone data plans with? And what phones are coming soon that are SmartPhones? I want to replace my 2125 and can't find a decent option.

Thanks! Daniel

Only the iPhone gets $20 unlimited data. The Great Oz (Stevie J) has spoken!

That's because iPhone can only use EDGE, which can be five to ten times slower than the 3G speeds other people are paying for.

The plus (+) is to get you to read the fine print about the terms of the rebate for SmartPhones like the BlackJack:

"+Requires activation on a PDA Personal Plan or a $39.99 or higher unlimited data rate plan or a $19.99 or higher messaging plan plus an AT&T Voice Plan of $39.99 or higher."

:D Yeah, that looks right. So simple, how did we miss it? Although, I like my answer better. ;)
