It also sports a revamped design, although we're not sure it's for the better. However, you're not going to be using a smart phone for its looks. The S630 delivers where it counts the most for mobile professionals--features and performance--making it a worthy upgrade to the Dash. At one time Miss Bonnie Cha had rated the Tmobile Dash an 8.0. The review was edited by another reviewer and now receives a 7.3. The HTC S630 looks to replace the Dash with a new look, 3G, WiFi, a new jogger strip (hopefully better), and a faster processor - all sporting Windows Mobile 6. Cnet has a full video and text review. So how does the S630 score? Well, for the moment it gets a 7.7 but who knows when it will be re-edited and marked higher or lower. If you own a Dash, how would you rate it? Is the S630 worth the update or can the Dash still hold its own? Let us know what you think!</div>

Arggh! I'm not to long into the best smartphone I've ever owned in the form of the T-Mo Dash.

And while I had heard rumblings about the update prior to purchase, I learned long ago these things can be delayed, killed, etc. so it is better to buy tech products based on current needs rather than "up coming" products (the whole "a bird in the hand beats two in the bush" saying). I needed a phone sooner rather than later and didn't want to risk what could have been a very long wait.

Now, I really, really like the Dash. I am very happy with everything about the phone with Windows Mobile 6, but the faster processor alone is making me really consider making the purchase. Not that the Dash is pokey, especially coming from Symbian (reeealllly sllloooowww), but the speed .....

Better start checking into getting some overtime at the job :S

Having played with the s630, I don't know that I would ditch the Excalibur for the Cavalier. Unless there was something specific that you really really needed. Processor is better, but that alone isn't worth the price of an upgrade - at least not to me.

I'd have to agree with the above comment. The S630 is a GREAT device, but the S620 is still a better form factor. I used an S620 for about 4 months, and recently switched over to an S630. I haven't sold my S620 yet because I'm not sure if I'll go back to it when WM6 is released from HTC... So many options these days!
