I am in the middle of a swarm of MDA owners. And all of us discover that as the phone approaches 6 months of use, the phone goes intermittent. At that point the phone periodically refuses to see the T-Mobile network and goes into endless searching. Only a reboot restores the phone's network recognition. (did anyone say Microsoft operating system?)
Finally I called T-Mobile today. Customer Care transferred me to the PDA specialists group. I summarized the symptom and asked whether this was a known problem. After coming back from hold, she told me that, yes indeed, it was a known problem. I thought I would make my reasonable pitch for replacing the phone with a Wing. She put me on hold again.
She came back and said no go for a free swap for the Wing but that there was a swap program for the Dash (and that I could download the WM6 upgrade after receiving the swap). By the way, accepting the Dash does not disqualify you from paying for the Wing as an "upgrade."
