<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.e-natives.web.id/' target='_blank'>http://www.e-natives.web.id/</a><br /><br /></div><i>"SmartToolkit is an application for Windows Mobile Smartphones. It adds new functions such as text editing and resolves limitations with resources as well as provides interface improvements! New functions in Alpha 4 are: New Start Menu, QuickLaunch, Add Storage &amp; Storage Card Explorer Menu, Add Right Menu in Explorer Menu (trial), Add pin to quicklaunch in Right explorer menu, Replacing System Start Menu not need to reboot the phone, Add fahrenheit temperature (configurable), Add Font-Size configuration, Hibernate now free more memory than before, Homescreen slowdown has been fixed</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/paxton-20070521-STK.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Nice little plugin. SmartToolKit Alpha 4 adds a bit of your windows desktop functions to your smartphone. It's easy to install and use though I haven't quite figured out how to use all the stated functions like the temperature. If you are looking to add a bit of spice to your smartphone, give it a try and let us know what you think.

Basically you download and upzip it on your desktop. You can then drag the SmartToolKiticon to your device via AS. Once it's on your device, you need to click on it to install it. Then press your home key to activate it and you can play with the different settings and such.

Yeah, figured it out. :)
This is going to be for smartphones what Pocket Plus is for Pocket PC's.
Great stuff.

First. Great piece of software!

Second. To get the registry file to work you have to put it like this and save it as a .reg file and run it on your phone:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\e-Natives]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\e-Natives\SmartToolkit]
"_CFG_RSTARTMENU"=dword:00000000
"_CFG_AUTOKEYLOCK_DWCHARGE"=dword:00000001
"_CFG_AUTOKEYLOCK"=dword:0000001e
"_CFG_POWERSAVE"=dword:00000000
"Version Build"="ALPHA 4 (20070521)"
"Version"="0.0.1"
"_CFG_FONTSIZE"=dword:00000000
"_CFG_KEYBIND"=dword:00000000
"_CFG_TEMPERATURE"=dword:00000001
"_CFG_FADE_ANIMATION"=dword:00000001
"_CFG_DESKBIND"=dword:00000000

Ok, so I downloaded and installed smarttoolkit.

My problem occured when I first ran the software, my Q just hung there and nothing I could do would work, so I removed the battery and it restarted, but now all I get is a white screen and the "unlock" button is there but nothing reponds. I copied the software onto my storage card and that is where I installed it from.

If I take my storage card out, I can get the phone to work, only problem is all my email/programs etc. run off of my storage card.

Any suggestions?

delete the file from the storage card with a cardreader. then reboot the device with the storagecard again.

Done - that no dice -- I went ahead and did a Master Reset and I am now in the process of re-installing everything, what a pain in the a@!

this program looks great, is it only for WM6?

Well, I decided to uninstall SmartToolKit and now when I press my start button on my Dash, I get this: "Can't find SmartToolKit or one of its components. Make sure the path and filename are correct an that all the required libraries are available." Not sure how to unstall this program. :evil:

I believe I tried this program when I had WM5 and it worked.

Something you forgot is change the Start Menu configuration into default before delete the file!

Do this step:
1. Run again SmartToolkit.exe
2. Select Stare Menu -> Control Panel (#6) -> Start Menu -> Default
3. Terminate The SmartToolkit ( Start Menu -> #9 -> Terminate STK )
Then you can saftly delete the file now...

Note:
For Blackjack and WM2003 users who got some problem with home-key, and Screen Capture, I did upload the new file...

The uninstall should be smart enough to reset things back to normal. Especially something like this. :?
