Not sure if this post is in the right place but here goes:
I have a new t-mobile dash on WM6. I have a new laptop with Vista Home Premium.
The dash came with ActiveSync and Outlook. Vista doesn't use ActiveSync so I downloaded Win Mobile Device Center from Microsoft. Everything's great. I'm syncing files like crazy. EXCEPT the Dash doesn't sync to Vista's included Windows Contacts & Windows Calendar.
T-Mobile support for the dash is adamant that I need to install Outlook which is redundant on my laptop since, as stated, Vista already has a Contacts & Calendar installed. They have no idea why the dash adds it's own Contacts and Appointments icons to the sync settings screen in Win Mobile Device Center. I can't find any options to allow Vista's Windows Contacts or Windows Calendar to pull data from my dash.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? If it is currently not a possibility and I have to install the Outlook that came with the dash - does anyone know if there are any conflicts in Vista - ie. does it integrate with the Windows Contacts & Calendar already on Vista - or do I need to uninstall those because they'll be redundant once the Outlook is on there...
I can't be the only one having this issue... right?
