Gentimer is the application that every Gentlemen or Gentlewoman should have on their smartphone. It is designed to be stylish, functional, yet simple to use 'all-in-one’ alarm, timer, stopwatch, world clock application which will make your life easier."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/paxton-20071407-Gentimer.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />If you need a clock, timer, stopwatch, customizable alarm clock, customizable timers, and world times that display four cities at once, then Gentimer is what you are looking for. I like their "sleepyhead" alarm mode which makes you enter in a random code so you actually have to look at it to shut it off. I also like the "gentle" alarm mode which plays a softer sound to wake you up gently. Isn't "time" to consider an app as flexible as this? If so you can head over to our <a href="http://software.smartphonethoughts.com/product.asp?id=8984">affiliate store</a> to download a trial or purchase your own copy.

This great little must have app just got better with version 2.0. Looks great. This has been my staple alarm clock on the Dash and will continue to be so.

Just started playing with this app (new the the smartphone platform in general). Is it possible to add cities to the database? Are there other skins available?

Thanks!

If you have a Blackjack you might want to sit tight for a while. There are some Blackjack owners, including me, that are having issues running this software.

You can install, but it locks up upon launching and the only fix to to pull the battery.

Rivia has been notified of the issue.

I figured someone else would have posted this before I did. I have a Blackjack too and it doesn't work.

Yes,

There is a bug on a blackjack - probably with the Windows Media Player, which we use to play mp3 alarms. We're currently working on a fix, and if everything goes well it should be ready today/tommorow.

In fact you can help to make it even sooner - I've prepared a Gentimer version that should run on the blackjack and does some logging, to track how to disable WMP it the release.
Please install it, and then run it from Blackjack, work with it for a while and close it. Then go to Gentimer's installation dialog (e.g. \Program Files\Gentimer) and send a file called Gentimer_log.txt to [email protected], so I could check what happens during load.
Here are the links to the setups:

Looking forward to your response.

Please note that this version needs your blackjack to be application unlocked. If you will get a security error, please send a message here, and I'll try to help.

@Rivia,

Just a note for you. In the general options, the word "Default" is spelled incorrectly. You have it spelled "Dafault."

I saw no way to put some space between repeats of the alarm sound, which made my alarms sound quite obnoxious. Is there a way to do that? I prefer several seconds between repetitions of the sound when using sounds of a short duration.

Hi,

We have just fixed the startup issue, however we've got information that the alarms don't work on blackjack, so if you could test it, it would be great. If they won't work, we'll do another research.
Please remove the previous version of Gentimer using Start->Settings->Remove Programs menu, download the latest version and install it. Here are the links:

About your question - unfortunately there's no option to extend the gap between the repeat, as we're using system API to loop the sound. What you can do, is to edit the WAV file with any free sound editor (e.g. Audacity) and add more silence at the end of the soud.

Happy testing...
