I have a Cingular 2125. I started using TCPMP for playing my music and video about 2 weeks after I got my phone because Windows Media Player was pretty lacking. I recently tried Microsoft Voice, and I like that tool but it won't support TCPMP for commands like "next" and "pause" and etc. So now I am back to trying WMP again.

I have uninstalled all TCPMP plugins/codecs and restarted the phone.

Now, if I am in the File manager and "click" on a song, I get this :

Alert
An unknown error 0x80070002
has occurred.

I don't know how that happened. I would like to reset/restore/wipe all WMP settings and see if a "fresh start" will help me. Anybody?

Maybe a side question is how can I get TCPMP to respond to MS Voice commands?

Thanks.

So TCPMP didn't remove all of it's settings. That's ugly. I don't know how you can re-establish the file association. I'm sure there's a way, at least there should be. I just haven't had to do it.:(

I believe Resco File Viewer/Explorer lets you re-associate file extensions with an app. Also, there should be a registry hack.
