The model numbers that show up in Telus' inventory are the HTC S720, and the HTC P4000. Those two could only mean CDMA variants of the HTC Vox (S710) and HTC Herald (P4350). The best part? Our tipster says to look for these to launch in about a month."</i> <br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070327-TelusVox.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />It took Rogers Wireless about 6 months to get the HTC S620 released - long after it was out on T-Mobile in the US. Telus on the other hand, seems to be showing everyone up. They quickly followed up Verizon's Q release and now they might even get a jump on everyone with the Vox and Herald. If only we could get them to follow the US carriers on pricing for data. :(

Wow! CDMA variant of the Vox! You Canadians are lucky. Over here folks on the Verizon and Sprint network would kill for a smart phone like this one. And the EV-DO speed is a killer. If Verizon launches this device, they will get back a lot of people who switched over to Cingular for BlackJack or T-Mobile for the Dash.

But EVDO coverage is spotty in Canada (http://www.telusmobility.com/bc/coverage/pcs_home.shtml). Only the major centre's, according to Telus's map. I've heard that the actual coverage is more extensive, but it'll take time to get anything decent.

Not to mention nobody's going to use those speeds anyways as data plans are freaking expensive here...
