I have moved from Cingular to Verizon so my wife and I can share a plan. My 2125 is in great shape, so I was thinking about putting it on eBay. I have moved my MiniSD card over to my new phone (Motorola Q).

What's the best way to clear all my data off the phone and restore it to factory settings?

Do I just keep the SIM card, and let the buyer put his own SIM card in?

Thanks!

Run the Clear Storage app in the start menu. It will ask for a password, if you haven't changed this it will be 1234 This will hard reset the device back to factory image.

To do a complete wipe, turn the power on while holding the two soft keys down. This will prompt you to wipe it clean.

Thanks folks! That seems to have done the trick!

As far as the SIM goes, yes keep the SIM. While it won't be active anymore once you stop the service, you can use it to stick in some phones to be able to play with the features. Some phones just don't do anything without a SIM. A buyer will need to pay for his/her own SI.
