View Full Version : Blackjack Sends Duplicate Emails

One of our executives in the company has me configuring a Blackjack for him. I have finally configured ActiveSync and Direct Push on our Exchange enviroment, but everytime I send an email, it will send the message twice. It does not receive duplicate messages, it just sends duplicate messages. Does anybody know what would cause this?

I have reformatted the Blackjack as well (power down, press power button and up button at the same time) and this wiped out all of the user settings, but it still will send duplicate emails. It also sends dups on my email accout and the executive's email account.

This could be the problem:

If you have the phone configured for Push Email with Exchange then go into the ActiveSync properties and ensure that email is disabled for ActiveSync. What is happening I think is that he sends an email. It goes via the Exchange server and holds it for the ActiveSync connection. He connects and the phone sends the message that way. If both are enabled for email then the phone sends the message both ways.

Hope it helps and I did not confuse you to much. If so I will answer when I get home and can look at ActiveSync itself. I am typing from memory.
