I did this with my Blackjack and I got the new icon to show in Explorer, but not in WMDC until after I rebooted my laptop. I figured that all of you would be very interested in knowing and trying out this info. Please report back and let us know how it went for you. :)

I did this for all three of my phones: SMT5600 (WM2003SE), 8125 and BlackJack.

I especially enjoy having the images there, it sets off the myriad of sync errors and failures quite nicely. :lol:

It took me so long to get WMDC working after my upgrade to Vista, I'm gun shy about having to uninstall my device in order to do this. :lol:

But then again I just have to do it. :)

Don't worry, it doesn't break your partnership. It just forces WMDC to look at the device for connection info. You're partnership still works just fine.

If you want, skip that set and reboot your desktop instead. It just might do the trick.
